Tree for the Hopkinton Town Common 2011
Troop 1 is once again selling fresh cut Christmas trees. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Sales begin the day after Thanksgiving, on Friday, November 25 at noon. The trees are the fragrant traditional New England Balsam Fir (4-11 ft.) and the dark green, low-shedding, sturdy-branched Fraser Fir (5-12 ft.). We will be selling trees until they are gone. Each year Troop 1 makes a special order to their vendor for the largest tree they can find to donate to the town. The Boy Scouts will be installing the tree on the Town Common on Sat. Nov. 26. Then the Hopkinton Girl Scouts will decorate the tree in time for the annual tree lighting event on December 3. Along with each tree comes information on how to recycle the tree at the end of the season through our fellow Hopkinton Boy Scout Troop 4's tree recycling program.

Trees are sold in the back of the parking lot by the Grove Street (Route 85) entrance.
