Troop 1 is a Scouting America Troop, serving the boys age 11-17 of Hopkinton, Massachusetts since 1916. Our long-time chartered organization was Colella’s Supermarket, then Faith Community Church. Now our charter organization is the HSLA - Hopkinton Scouts Leadership Association.
Our weekly meeting is held Mondays at Faith Community Church during school year. The scouts work on rank advancement, merit badges, scouting and leadership skills. They also plan for upcoming trips like checking and organizing necessary equipment, planning menus and assigning chores. The meeting usually ends with a game that is decided by and lead by one of the patrols.
